Zanesville Police continue to investigate an early morning home invasion.

Zanesville Police Captain Kenneth Miller says shortly before 4:00 a.m. Wedneday morning, dispatchers received a call of a person hanging out the window of a vehicle with a rifle yelling that they were looking for someone. That’s when officers were dispatched to the area.

"At approximately 4:00, we received a call on Owens Street in reference to a home invasion where a subject kicked in the door and assaulted the resident inside," said Miller.

It was just 8 minutes later officers arrested two men and a woman involved in the break-in.

"We had officers in the area from the two calls. The description of the car was given out and officers saw the car and followed it and stopped it at Larzalere and Ohio Street, and In the car they found two pistols and an SKS assault rifle along with the three occupants of the car," said Miller.

The assault victim is believed to be okay and no motive has been determined by authorities. Names will be released in the case once detectives meet with the prosecutor to file formal charges.
