Mall Hiring Seasonal Employees

It won’t be long before shoppers at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville start seeing holiday decorations.

Many retailers will be hiring seasonal workers to help control the holiday rush.  Business development coordinator Kevin Pinson said potential employees should begin the job search as soon as possible.

"If anyone is interested, they should probably be coming out now and visiting their favorite stores and asking for applications," said Pinson.  "Retailers want to get those folks on board and trained before Black Friday hits and the craziness takes effect."

The mall is bringing back some of its popular winter activities including the santa arrival parade and gift card giveaways.  Pinson said he doesn’t expect the state of the economy to affect holiday sales.

"Christmas is still a big time, and people will always put back some money to go shopping for Christmas, so we think it will be a good year," said Pinson.

The mall isn’t skipping Halloween – Pinson said younger shoppers can trick-or-treat on October 31st.
