A New Lexington High School teacher has resigned in connection with an investigation into allegations of misconduct involving students. Superintendent Tonya Sherberne today confirmed that the teacher is Becky Baker. She had been on paid administrative leave since August 18th after the school received two letters claiming Baker was making inappropriate comments to students. The Superintendent released information from a special board meeting on Saturday where Baker resigned. At that meeting the school board offered a resolution that alleges Baker had inappropriate personal relationships with minor students and recently graduated student of the school district during the last six years. The school board was ready to fire Baker on Saturday but she resigned instead. The incident is under investigation by New Lexington Police for the last few weeks and interviews of teachers and students are continuing.
