Oil Leak Causes Slick Roads in Muskingum County

The Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a small oil leak that left portions of several roads in Muskingum County quite slippery.

It happened around 12:30 Friday afternoon just north of State Route 93 and the Eastpointe Drive intersection.

Troopers say two separate trucks from two different companies both had hydraulic leaks coming from them which leaked all the way to I-70 and parts of US 22 eastbound.

Troopers say there was also a vehicle crash on 93 but is unable to confirm if it was related to the oil leak.

The Ohio Department of Transportation immediately spread sand over the affected areas and say most of it is cleaned up. Troopers say there still could be some slick spots along 93 and 22 which troopers are continuing to investigate
