The search for exotic animals in Southeast Ohio is still active but is getting closer to the end.
Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz said Thursday Morning that a monkey believed to be the last animal missing at the Thompson Farm, may have been killed by another animal on the property after their release Tuesday.
Sheriff Lutz said Wednesday the monkey was believed to be carrying Herpes B. Officials from the Wilds said the monkey, if loose, would be considered highly dangerous and should not be approached. It was recommended if found the monkey be killed.
A press conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
