The Zanesville High School ‘Devilettes’ hosted their annual Holiday Bazaar.

Held in the basement of Secrest Auditorium, the craft show’s goal is to raise several thousand dollars to go toward uniforms, props and the overall operation of the dance team.

"It’s like anything else that’s extra curricular anymore," said ‘Devilettes’ Director Wayne Carpenter. "It’s all self supporting and without this we would have to do dozens of little projects, selling projects that would bring in just a few hundred at a time."

Lori Shook has been organizing the event for about 6 years. It began nearly 30 years ago with only about 15 vendors taking part. Today more than 100 vendors filled the room.

"They really enjoy coming here they say it’s very well organized," said Shook. "There’s a lot of traffic that comes in and they make some money while their here so they really enjoy this bazaar."

The ‘Devilettes’ were on hand to help vendors set-up and serve lunch provided by the Zanesville High School Booster Club.
