The monthly First Friday Art Walk is this Friday night in Zanesville. ZAAP Art Gallery in the downtown will feature paintings from artist Hong Yin.

Originally born in China Yin’s inspiration comes from her families descent from the Tibetan Plateau.

Living in Ohio for nearly 15 years, Yin now teaches art history and graphic design at Muskingum University. Although she is only able to visit the Tibetan Plateau on occasion, she has found a similar admiration for the City of Zanesville.

"In Zanesville there is such a good atmosphere for artists," said Yin. "I really enjoy our great Museum, Zanesville Museum of Art, and the wonderful artists around me, we share ideas, we learn from each other, we paint together, so that is very inspiring."

You can see Yin’s featured oil, acrylic and water paintings during the First Friday Art Walk..
