Model Engineering enthusiasts revved up their engines on the Muskingum County Fairgrounds this weekend.
The Mid-East Ohio Model Engineering Expo attracted not only miniature aircraft and car engines, but miniature motorcycles and guns as well. Director Paul Debolt has been putting on the show for the past four years and said the astonishment never ends.
"If you see a miniature jet engine run or a radio air craft engine, it’s pretty fascinating," emphasized Debolt.
Participant Doug Kelley traveled from South Carolina to take part in the show. He displayed a model scale turbine jet engine. A project, he said, took nearly 9 months to complete.
"It’s a project where you become involved, you get interested and kind of keep going until you get the thing how you want it to be," said Kelley.
Plans are already in the works for next years expo. You can expect it to take place the week before Halloween.
