After being closed for nearly 7 weeks Operation Spirit in Zanesville celebrated their Grand Reopening.

Now located on Linden Avenue behind A-1 Heating and Cooling Director Melodie Pittman said the military support ministry is settling in well.

"We’re really happy to be open once again and be back in the public eye, and be back with our family, because our customers are kind of our family," said Pittman. ‘We’ve missed a lot of them and a lot of them have kind of stopped by from time to time and say ‘Are you open yet?" and I’ve had to turn a lot of people away and say, Saturday at 11 o’clock, sorry."

Brenda Moore, a regular customer at Operation Spirit visits Zanesville only about four-times a year from Benton, Illinois. She said after loosing her husband in Vietnam she is always sure to visit.

"For one it’s a good thing, for another they always have neat things here to find," said Moore.

Already looking ahead to Christmas Pitman uses money raised to send care packages and other necessities to troops overseas.
