Pink Dumpster Proves a Point

A Zanesville business is trying to kick breast cancer to the curb.

It’s hard to miss the pink dumpster at Sidwell Materials on Maysville Pike.  Jennie Sidwell said the dumpster will move around the community so more people can see it.

"I like pink, and I like pink to be seen and remind everybody what pink stands for – finding a cure for breast cancer," said Sidwell.  "I had the idea, and it became a reality."

Sidwell said she took a stance against breast cancer as a 50th birthday goal.  Since then, she has taken part in the Susan G Komen 3-Day for the Cure – a 60 mile walk that supports breast cancer research.

"I was just interested in finding a way to pay forward and support the cause that I’m passionate about," said Sidwell.
