Tuesday Tournaments: RV Girls Drop Heartbreaker in Extra Time

Girls Soccer– Division II District Final

River View 0 West Holmes 1 [F/ET]

Despite out-shooting the Lady Knights, River View suffered their fifth and final loss of the year in extra time, while the Knights won their first district title. The golden goal was scored by Jordan Buchanan.

Boys Soccer– Division III Sectional Final

Coshocton 6 Rosecrans 0

After waiting five days to finally play, Coshocton rolled Rosecrans to the tune of 6-0 in the Boys Division III Sectional Final.  Evan Johnson paced the Skins with four goals, taking back to the top of the East District leaderboard with 36 on the season. 

Ian Hartley added two scores for Coshocton, who advances to the District where it will take on Eastern Brown.


Division III District Semifinals– Cambridge High School

Buckeye Trail looked impressive against one of its rivals in Shenandoah.  After rolling to a first set victory, the Zeps took advantage of a few Warrior errors and picked up a 27-25 win in set two.  Buckeye Trail responded by closing out the victory.

The reigning Regional champion looked as good as advertised in a four-set win against Ridgewood, even though they did struggle early on.

The Generals took it to the perennial District champion Trojans, winning the first set 25-14 behind some great play from junior Kelsey Miller.  Errors by Ridgewood cost them as the match went on.

Tusky Valley will face Buckeye Trail for the right to advance to the Sweet 16.

Division II Distrcit Semifinal– Chillicothe Southeastern High School

Sheridan advances to the District Championship match with a straight-set win over Unioto on Tuesday.  The Generals will face Fairfield Union, Saturday at 4 pm.
