A Zanesville man will spend nine months in prison on multiple drug charges that resulted after a foot chase with authorities.

27-year-old Corey Wood received the sentence in Muskingum Common Pleas Court after admitting to trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in counterfeit controlled substances and possession of marijuana. Judge Kelly Cottrill handed down the sentence Monday.

Wood was arrested in August following a foot chase in the Putnam area in Zanesville.
