The big Ohio State vs. Michigan game is this weekend …and already residents of Cedar Hill Care Center in Zanesville are sporting their scarlet and gray.

The #1 Buckeye Fan "Buck I. Guy" visits the assisted living and nursing home each year during the annual Beat Michigan Week to help get residents in the spirit.

"The residents love the Buck I. Guy, he’s famous on TV, he’s at all the home and away Buckeye games," explained Administrator Rich Stephens. "He comes in and spends time with them one-on-one, gives autographed photos, takes time for families and residents to get pictures if they want and have their camera, and he just shares some of his time and experience with them."

Stephens said many of the residents were once Ohio State students. 73 year-old resident Dwight Long was an usher and Redcoat for the Buckeye’s.

"He was always there and actually I used to see him at the stadium years ago," recalled Buck I. Guy. "It’s unbelievable that he’s here and he remembers me and I remember him."

Ohio State will play Michigan at Annarbor Saturday at noon. You can hear the game on WHIZ’s AM 12-40.
