Boys Division III Soccer Regional Semifinal– John D. Sulsberger Memorial Stadium

Coshocton 4 Minford 0

Coshocton is heading to a regional final for the second consecutive year thanks to the 4-0 blanking of the Minford Falcons. The scoring was underway quickly as Alex Wheeler put the Redskins up a goal just four minutes into the contest. Evan Johnson added the middle two goals, as he becomes the East District scoring leader (again, for good this time) netting goal numbers 37 and 38 of his fantastic season tonight. Ian Hartley also chipped in a goal to round out the final score.

The defense and goalie Hayden Cantrell were once again stellar, refusing to give up a goal for the third consecutive tournament game. The lone goal scored on Coshocton in the tournament run remains against West Muskingum in the game that began this Redskins tournament run.

Coshocton will not go to sleep tonight knowing their opponent in the regional final this coming Saturday, as the Worthington Christian/Berlin Highland matchup was delayed this evening thanks to poor field conditions. The Regional Final is slated for Sulsberger Stadium Saturday, November 5th at 3 PM.
