Division IV, Region 15 Final at Sulsberger Stadium:

Johnstown-Monroe 27 Coshocton 24

One big play is all it takes to swing momentum in a game. For the Coshocton Redskins, a fourth and two rumble to the end zone by Ross Franklin, was the shift that knocked them from the playoffs.

Coshocton had trouble stopping Franklin all night on the ground as the running back tallied four touchdowns, three in the first half, in leading the Johnnies into the State Semi-Finals. Franklin’s third touchdown of the first half put gave the Johnnies a 20-7 lead before the Redskins were able to march down the field to set up an Evan Johnson field goal that made it a ten point difference at the half.

The third quarter belongded to the Redskins, as Jacob Bresciani plunged in from four yards out to cut into the Johnnie lead. On the ensuing kick off Johnson placed a perfect onside kick that was recovered by Brock Bolden. On that drive Brody Philabaum hit Dylan Ogle for a three yard touchdown that gave Coshocton their only lead of the game.

Ogle also added a rushing touchdown for the Redskins for Coshocton who ended their season at 10-3 and region runner up.
