If you plan on attending this year’s Sertoma Pancake Day in Zanesville, you’ll be sitting at brand new tables thanks to a generous donation.

The Sertoma Club purchased 60 tables for Secrest Auditorium to help seat more people during fundraiser events.  Club member Dick McClelland said it was time to replace the tables.

"If you had seen the old tables, you would think that they will help a great deal," said McClelland.

McClelland said his goal is to support the city of Zanesville and encourage everyone to participate in downtown gatherings.  One upcoming event is the 51st annual Sertoma Pancake Day.

"Pancake Day, as I look at it, is like the County Fair," said McClelland.  "Everybody in town comes to the Sertoma Pancake Day for the pancakes."

Sertoma Pancake Day will be held at Secrest Auditorium on November 16th.  Last year’s event raised about $20,000.
