The National Emergency Alert System test was broadcast on all radio and tv stations across the United States.
Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency Director Bo Keck says of the stations he listened and watched, one radio station did not broadcast the alert.
"It wasn’t one of our local media outlets, it was one out of the Lancaster Columbus area. We were listening to 6 or 7 different outlets and all of them ran it, it went across the screens and on the radio, it was fine except the one," said Keck.
While things did run smoothly, there is always a question of if it doesn’t work.
"We’re going to get the alert somehow and then we would act upon the alert according to what it was," added Keck.
Keck says he hopes more alerts like the one Wednesday are done throughout the year just to make sure the system works properly.
