The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office executed some search warrants at the Frazeysburg Village Hall and two other locations Thursday morning. Sheriff Matt Lutz says his deputies took some public records from the Village as part of an investigation. At a News Conference Sheriff Lutz says the two other locations searched were the water plant on Spellman Lane and the sewer plant on Canal Street. Lutz says the search was conducted with the help of Ohio State Audtitor David Yost’s office and the Frazeysburg Police Department. Lutz says this investigation started in May of 2010 and is the result of accuasations of wrongdoing invovling the allocaiton of tax dollars invoving the Mayor’s Office and Village Council. The Sheriff did not release any names and no arrests took place. The confiscated documents will now be examined by the State Audtior’s Office. The incident remains under investigaiton.
