The Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority has agreed to sell land to Halliburton and that would mean 300 jobs for our area. Halliburton is one of the world’s largest providers in the energy industry – a fortune 500 company. The Port Authority Board voted to sell the company 174 acres of land in the East Pointe Business Park for their development. Port Executive Director Mike Jacoby says Halliburton has indicated the land will be used an operations hub to support customers in Utica shale development. Jacoby says the board entered into a contract with a 60 day due diligence period, so the deal won’t officially close for another 2 months.
