Around 150 Columbia Gas customers in New Concord have been without natural gas Tuesday following a problem with a pipeline late Monday night.
A Columbia Gas spokesperson says moisture got into the pipeline. The company has cleared the moisture, but now in order to restore service they must make access to every affected customer’s home.
Additional crews have been called in to assist. The company is asking all the homeowners to leave outdoor lights on. Homeowners should have someone at the home throughout the night to allow crews entry or you should make arrangements with a neighbor who can let crews into your home.
All Columbia Gas workers will have company identification on them. If you have questions or concerns call their customer service line at 1-800-344-4077.
