The 12-year-old daughter of Rachelle Grimmer died Wednesday afternoon.
Ramie Grimmer passed away in a Texas hospital and her 10-year-old brother Timothy remains in critical condition.
Authorities said Grimmer shot her children and then killed herself during a standoff in a state building where the family had been denied food stamps. Ramie had posted on her Facebook page during the standoff.
Grimmer and her children moved to Texas from Ohio this summer. Her last known address is in Roseville on Township Road 167.
Grimmer’s former neighbors told us off-camera that she was employed as an electrician, and she home-schooled her two kids. Neighbors said Grimmer was struggling financially, and she had received money from her mother in the past.
Grimmer’s mother is Nancy Harrop who lives in Crooksville. No one answered the door at Harrop’s home, and neighbors said she might have traveled to Texas.
