Christmas is over and you now may be wondering how to lose those extra holiday calories.
One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is weight loss. The Fieldhouse Director of Operation, Jim Fraunfelter, says there is a right way to go about losing the extra pounds and it starts with keeping a steady workout routine.
"The biggest thing is to get into an exercise program. It doesn’t work one week..and hopefully you think it’s over and done with. It’s a regiment and you have to just get into it and stay with it," said Fraunfelter.
Fraunfelter says you have to be patient when wanting to lose weight. He says you can see faster results by cutting out sodas and alcohol because those types of beverages will keep the weight on, but the most important thing is to set realistic goals.
"Six to eight weeks. You have to give yourself some steps. Set yourself some goals that you can attain. Don’t say ok this is January 1st… I am going to lose 60 pounds in 30 days. It’s not going to happen," said Fraunfelter.
