The Colony Square Mall in Zanesville was packed with people looking for last-minure gift items Friday afternoon.

Shopper Kristyn Heagan was finishing up her Christmas shopping, and says she is looking forward to seeing family on Christmas.

" It’s definitely crowded, it was hard to find a parking spot outside, but it’s expected, it’s Christmastime so everyone is out last minute trying to get some gifts, it hasn’t been too bad though." said Heagan.

"We are just out getting a few last minute stocking stuffers and a few gifts, and the lines are very long, very long, but great sales. " explained shopper Berneice Minner.

Everyone agrees that the long lines are well worth the wait to be able to give gift and spend time with family this weekend.

" My family actually goes to my grandparents house for Christmas Eve and we have a meal and open up some gifts, then we actually have Christmas day at my house with my immediate family, and then my grandparents come over and we open up gifts later on." said Heagan.

"We’re going to spend it with our granddaughter, and out new great-granddaughter who is in the hospital in Akron and has been since birth." said shopper Susan Reed.

The Colony Square Mall is open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but is closed on Sunday for Christmas.
