The city of Zanesville now has a new way to pay your utility bills.

Online bill pay is now available for residents of Zanesville who receive city water and sewer services. Public Service Director, Mike Sims, says the process for completing online bill pay is relatively simple.

"Have your bill with you, it will require completing the account information." explained Sims. "It’s all prompted on the screen, so all you have to do is go to, click on the blue water drop, and follow the instructions."

Sims says online bill pay has been in the works for a while, but was just recently launched. He says it should eliminate long lines at City Hall, as well as serve as a convenience to customers.

"First of the month a lot of people depend on their monthly checks, and that will generally result in a huge amount of cash inflow to the city." said Sims. "It takes a lot of teller time, and we have to keep them moving."

Sims wants to remind everyone that payments still need to be made before 8 a.m. on the day of shutoff, or there will be extra charges on your next bill.

If you would like to pay your bill online, you can visit and click the payment icon on the left side of the screen.
