American Pride to Celebrate Grand Opening

Six months of construction is nearly complete as American Pride Power Equipment prepares to open the doors of their new location.

The locally owned and operated business officially moved Tuesday from their Maple Avenue address to Mcintire Avenue- just off Interstate 70.

President Ryan Dodson said previous talk on whether the company’s new location should remain residential or be better-suited for business has faded.

"The more that gets done here I think the more comfortable people will be," said Dodson. "It’s a huge investment, naturally it is going to be a well kept property and I think it’ll be a great thing for the community."

The grand opening of the new location will take place Monday at 11:00 a.m. The short ceremony will include the raising of a 30 x 60 foot American Flag.

"It fits perfectly with our store name, I never got a chance to serve in the Military and really appreciate all those that did," said Dodson. "So it’s kind of my way of serving."

Dodson said four part-time employees that were hired last year will now become full-time, and he anticipates more will be needed.
