A New Lexington woman has been sentenced for her role in an incident that was originally reported by authorities as a stabbing where robbery was the motive.

23-year-old Jamie Storts appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Tuesday where she received a 5 year prison term on an aggravated robbery charge.

The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says Storts along with 25-year-old Steven Adams stabbed John Hannahs at his home on Roseville Road in Avondale during a robbery in November of last year.

Adams plead guilty in December to an aggravated robbery charge.

He has not been sentenced yet.
