Beating the winter blues is as easy as buying a ticket.

Zane Trace Players in downtown Zanesville is putting on a performance full of laughs and audience interaction.  "Kitchen Witches" is about two women who grew up together but went their separate ways to become television cooking stars until both of their shows are cancelled.

"They decide to get together and put on a combined TV show, because if they don’t, the only thing they have left is going to a home somewhere and being in bed early every night, so they decide to put up with each other, but it doesn’t really work out that way," said Director Tom Porter.

Porter said he’s grateful to work with a talented cast and crew.  He said the first two performances couldn’t have gone any better.

"I had a lady tell me that this is the best play that she has ever seen in this theatre, and that’s quite a compliment, because there has been a lot of great plays here," said Porter.

If you missed Sunday’s show, you can catch "Kitchen Witches" on February 3rd and 4th at 8 p.m. and on February 5th at 2:30 p.m.  For reservations, call Zane Trace Players at (740) 453-8481.
