Rosecrans 39 Zanesville 38
In the prelude to the boys’ game looming, the Rosecrans-Zanesville girls provided enough excitement to last both fanbases until Friday night, and beyond. The Lady Devils took a 12-8 lead into the second quarter, but an 8-0 to start the second for the Lady Bishops gave them their first lead of the night, one they would not relinquish. It seemed every time Zanesville got close, Roscrans had an answer.
Down the stretch, the Lady Devils hit some key shots to pull within a posession, but the shot off the hands of Kailee Howe as time expired fell short. Zanesville suffers their third league loss in a row after a 13-0 start, while Rosecrans remains a perfect 9-0 in the ECOL, 11-3 overall. Kailee and Kenzie Howe both had 13 points in the loss for Zanesville. Rosecrans was paced by Alexis Kirkbride’s 14 points, while Molly Nash chipped in 13.
