His first official day as Zanesville’s Mayor was January first and it appears he’s settling in well…
Mayor Jeff Tilton spent the majority of Tuesday speaking with city employees on his expectations. He said there is nothing he would ask of his new administration that he wouldn’t be willing to do himself.
"I’ve just been around all the offices and talking to people and explaining to them the way I feel the city should be run and getting their feedback," said Tilton.
Tilton said upcoming changes to the City of Zanesville include getting a permanent budget in place, and to finalize public safety and utility contracts. In addition Tilton recently changed three city staffing positions.
"I’ve had no negative reactions, people seem to be up beat, people in City Hall seem to think things will work out and we will go forward," said Tilton.
He encourages anyone with questions or concerns regarding the city to speak with him directly.
