Students planning on attending the Ohio State University – or any branch of Ohio State- may also want to apply for this scholarship.
The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County will be awarding $500 or more to a number of high school seniors. Applicants must be in the top 25% of their school in Muskingum County and also plan to enroll at a campus of Ohio State.
"We would like to see well rounded students," said OSU Alumni Club President of Muskingum County Terry Kopchak. "We’d also like to see students that are active in the community, volunteering, also in their schools involved in sports and activities and do a lot of community service work."
Kopchak advices the typical high school student apply between 30-40 scholarships. He says with the high cost of college every little bit helps.
"Student need every source of financial assistance they can get, so it’s very important students not only complete their FASFA and file for the Federal Financial Aid but also apply for aid through their universities," said Kopchak.
Applications and further details can be picked up at the guidance offices of all Muskingum County high schools, at the Scholarship Central Access Program of the Muskingum County Community Foundation, or downloaded from the community foundation website at www.mccf.org.
Completed Applications must be returned by Tuesday, January 17th.
Another scholarship is also being offered to current Ohio State Students.
