Things are pretty quite at the Muskingum County Board of Elections.
Early voting is underway, but so far not many people have taken advantage of the option. Muskingum County Board of Elections Director Chris Hamill said only 1,000 absentee ballots have been requested.
"Within the county there are no races for the party affiliation and with the presidential race for the Republicans some people have not decided how they want to vote," said Muskingum County Board of Elections Director Chris Hamill.
Hamill said she spoke to the Secretary of State last week and that Muskingum County isn’t the only ones seeing the slow start, but things may not be slow for long.
"With elections you have no idea. They might show up election day. We might have them come in next week. There’s no rhyme or reason," said Hamill.
If you would like to vote early person you can do so at the Board of Elections up until March 2nd at 6pm.
