Zane State College is preparing for a visit from Lt. Governor Mary Taylor next week.

On February 14th, Taylor along with business leaders and local government officials will meet at the Energy Education Economic Development Summit at the Campus Center.

Zane State President Dr. Paul Brown said the goal is to make long term sustainability of energy a reality for the region.

"Our communities really need to get together, we really wanted to get a good cross section of our communities around Zanesville, and including Zanesville," said Dr. Brown.

Dr. Brown Believes the E3D summit will make the community want to start a conversation about sustainable energy.

"I’m sure we all want a better life for our citizens in this region, so that’s what we’re trying to promote here, is plant the seeds and start talking about how can we intentionally become a better place, a great place to live, a great place for business and industry to thrive," added Dr. Brown.

Zane State already offers certificate and two-year programs in gas and oil.
