High School Girls Basketball:
Tri-Valley 53 Dover 37
The Lady Dawgs gave up the first bucket of the game and then from there on they locked the Tornadoes down. Tri-Valley held Dover to just 37 points while on defense while on the other end they were able to get to the free throw line 22 times and make 21 of those attempts to seal the victory. The Scotties had three players in double figures lead by Kalee Hamilton, who but the Lady Dawgs ahead for good in the first quarter with a three ball. From there Hamilton and Tri-Valley never looked back. Senior Amariah Huck dominated on the low block racking up 14pts and Katie Prince also tallied 12 for the victors. Dover was lead by sophomore Moriah Monaco who was sizzling in the first half scoring 16 of the Tornadoes first 18 points. She finished the night with 23 points which was a game high. With the win the Lady Dawgs will now advance to take on West Holmes in a rematch of the first game of the season for the right to go to the Regional Tournament.
