Ashland Eagles will play for National Title

The Eagles keep the train rolling, and will now play for a National Title on Friday night. Coach Sue Ramsey’s team led by River View product Kari Daugherty, who produced an epic performance: 31 points 22 rebounds, and six assists, adding to her already Division II leading 26 double-doubles. As if tonight’s performance wasn’t enough, earlier in the day Daugherty was named to the Daktronics Division II All-America team.

Tri-Valley’s Alyssa Miller also playing a huge role in the victory, playing all but one minute of the game, and filling up the stat sheet: eight points, six rebounds and five assists. Maysville grad Melanie Poorman also a part of an Ashland team that has now won 33 consecutive games, losing only their first contest of the season. Ashland will now play in the Divison II National Title game for the first time in school history.
