Boys High School Basketball Tournament

Division I District Final– Columbus Fairgrounds Coliseum

Pickerington Central 65 Newark 49

The Tigers tame the Wildcats in the rubber match of the three game series between the two teams. Pick Central advancing to the regional semifinals against Olentangy Liberty, in a battle featuring the top two seeds remaining in the Central District.

Division III District Final– Ohio University Eastern

Coshocton 46 Garaway 26

The Redskins advancing to the regional semifinal and will face Ironton in the Regional Semifinal at the Ohio University Convocation Center Wednesday, March 14th at 6:15 PM. Brandon Taylor almost outscored Garaway by himself, scoring a game high 20 points, while Drew Jarvis chipped in 12 points.

Division IV District Final– Meadowbrook High School

Hiland 64 Rosecrans 56 OT

For the second straight year, Rosecrans’ season ends to the very same team, on the very same floor, at the very same stage in the tournament. A back-and-forth affair from the start where the biggest lead either team had was eight, the Hiland Hawks, defending Division IV champs, advancing to the Regional tournament in Canton. The Bishops have now played the Hawks to their only two single digit tournament wins in the past two seasons. Zak Kirkbride and Jared Dalton both had a game high 19 points.
