A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday for a new restaurant in Zanesville.
Grillin’ and chillin’ opened Monday morning at the site of the old Mr. Banjo’s restaurant at 1612 Linden Avenue.
Owner Dave Dailey said he is glad to finally have a permanent location to better serve his customers.
"Oh this is great, I see more of them walking in right now, and it’s great to see the community come out and everyone. It’s great support," said Dailey.
Grillin’ and chillin’ still has many of the same products that were on the Mr. Banjo’s menu.
Dailey said his business started out with a lunch truck serving patrons on Maple Avenue, and was looking to expand his business.
"I was looking to expand, whether another trailer, I had the concession trailer on maple last year, and going by I saw the sign and a couple of friends told me that it was for sale, and I took a look at it, and it looked like a great opportunity to me," added Dailey.
The restaurant specializes in meats and side dishes, but also offers catering services for private parties and events.
