Renovations are in the planning phase for the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department.
On Thursday Project Manager Jeremy Davis sat down with the Muskingum County Commissioners to update them on his progress.
"The main function of this program is to increase efficiency and the maximum space that we can use for the health department, mainly the expanded clinical and nursing services," said Davis.
The project has been in the works for several months. Davis said efficiency is critical in the health care field.
"It’s really just a matter of serving your patients and clients in the best way possible," said Davis. "This current plan that we had developed will relocate all of the main services to the first floor, and the second floor will just be occupied for administration."
Davis said that once he has a finalized plan for construction, he will schedule another meeting with the commissioners.
