An area high school student was arrested Monday after authorities say she admitted to making a hit list.

According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, a hit list was discovered Sunday at Watkins Memorial High School in Pataskala. The writing in a stall of a girl’s restroom read "3-7-12 Hit List." The list then named 10 female junior high school students.

Authorities used video surveillance and questioned a suspect Monday. They say she admitted to making the list and adding her own name to avoid suspicion.

The student was arrested for inducing panic and taken to Licking County Juvenile Court.
