Residents React to “Springing Forward”

It’s that time of year to "spring forward".

Daylight Savings Time starts Sunday, which means you need to move your clocks one hour ahead. For some residents, the time change only means one thing…

"Um, time change…Um..Losing an hour of sleep. Not too happy," said Melissa Alton of Zanesville.

Thearle Wiseman said he’s only concerned about adjusting to the change.

"I go to work early, you start an hour earlier now, and the overlap change will make a lot of difference in the time I get home in the mornings…It’s just something that’s always been there, you just have to learn to live with it, but you know, the older you get, the worse it makes it I guess."

Dick King said that since he’s retired, the new schedule won’t bother him one bit.

"For me, it’s just, you know, just another day. You’re just, going to lose an hour of sleep and that’s it."

While you’re changing your clocks, don’t forget to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
