Spring Break for Businesses

Local businesses took a break from work for some spring break fun at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Spring Break event.

Those in attendance were entertained by award winning comedian, author and speaker Scottie Guner, who brought some co-workers up on stage to play a game to see how well they knew each other.

"Every year we try and follow the theme of humor in the workplace. We know lots of banquets are formal. We don’t want this to be formal. We want this to be more of a celebration," said Chamber of Commerce President Tom Poorman.

Following the celebration theme, the chamber handed out their ACES and Safety Awards to businesses that continue to grow and make investments into their community.

"I think it helps us recognize that there are many positive things going on and that even though the economy has been tough the last several years, there are really a lot of exciting things despite that going on in the local community," explained Poorman.

Friday’s spring break was held at the Hallowed Hills.
