The Zanesville Police Department is investigating an aggravated burglary.

It happened around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday at 1643 Norwood Boulevard.  Lieutenant Tony Coury said four males wearing masks broke down the front door of the home.  The female homeowner fired shots and told police she struck one of the males.

All four men fled the scene and the woman was not injured.  Coury said a separate call came in about ten minutes later regarding a gunshot trauma victim.  He said it’s possible the victim is one of the suspects involved in the burglary.

No one is in custody at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to call the ZPD tips line at (740) 455-0712.
