Day two of the Community Health Fair took place Saturday…

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department hosted the event at the Colony Square Mall. Rambo Memorial Health Center was one of the vendors providing services and information to visitors.

"The things that we do here are free, but a lot of things that we do at our clinic is also free and people don’t understand that, they don’t realize that. So it is a good way for them to get a chance to…A lot of people will come in and say ‘I think my blood pressure is high today’, ‘I’ve got a headache’," said Rambo Health R.N. Gloria Brown.

The health fair was free to the public. Jan Howard works for Rambo, and she said the goal of this event is to offer preventive care.

"Well, we’ve actually had a lot of people come to us and get some of these simpler screenings and then find out that they had a more…Major problem, and then go to their own doctor for follow-up…And find out that they did have an illness that needed treatment."

Rambo Memorial Health Center is located on Main Street in downtown Zanesville.
