The rain didn’t stop high school rowing teams from competing at Dillon Lake Saturday…

The Midwest Scholastic Rowing Association tested out the waters as part of its plans to make Dillon Lake the permanent site for its annual two-day rowing competition. Saturday’s event featured 12 girls teams and 10 boys teams from high schools around the state. Rowers say Dillon Lake is the perfect location because it’s easily accessible and sheltered from the wind. The MSRA is raising funds to build the 50,000 dollar proposed rowing course. Dillon Lake will become the permanent host site beginning in 2013.
