Ohio University Zanesville is inviting prospective students to attend a spring open house.

Associate Director of Student Services Jason Howard said the event will feature a general information session, campus tours and financial aid tips.

"We will be covering the entire admission process, and our financial aid coordinator will be covering that process," said Howard.  "We’ll be waiving application fees, so they can certainly save a few bucks there, and we’re going to have people here that will walk our prospective students through the entire process from applying all the way through completing the FAFSA."

Howard said current OUZ students will conduct campus tours and host a panel discussion.

"When a student is looking at an institution, it’s good to talk to someone who’s more of a peer," said Howard.  "They can have more honest conversations and talk at the same level.  We encourage the students involved to be completely honest and talk about their real experiences."

One lucky participant will receive a $500 tuition waiver as part of a scholarship drawing.  The open house is scheduled for April 24th from 5:30 to 8 p.m.  Online registration is required at
