If you’re concerned about your plants because of the inconsistent weather, one area business can help…
Wilson’s Garden Center, located near the big Longaberger basket building in Licking County, is hosting its third annual open house this Saturday and Sunday. Horticulturist Shelli Berry-McDaniel said the wacky weather is bringing people to the center with plenty of questions.
"Because everybody was really, you know, gung-ho on planting. It was so nice for so many days. But, you know, Mother Nature…It’s ok, we’ll grow more. But, don’t plant those tomatoes or peppers yet," said Berry-McDaniel.
The open house will have games and workshops to help answer some of those questions. Berry-McDaniel said Wilson’s staff is knowledgeable on a variety of plant-related topics.
"There are a few of us here that have degrees, and then there are many folks that have been here over 20 years, and we do continue our education every year. So we do keep up with everything that’s knew, and what’s going on."
