A Zanesville church is working to make the Y-city a little "greener"…

Coburn United Methodist hosted "Go Green Collection Day" Saturday afternoon. The church partnered with Good Will to recycle items so they can be used by others.

"We take cardboard, paper, small appliances, computer equipment, metals, and plastics… And they’re just bringing it all," said Senior Pastor Dennis Baker.

Coburn has held the Collection Day since 2007. Saturday was the best turn-out they’ve had in the past five years.

"Our goal is to get as much as we can and to touch as many people as we can. We believe it benefits our community and benefits Good Will and builds good community relationships."

A recycling bin is available year-round behind the church on Maple Avenue.
