A motorcycle accident sent one person to the hospital Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 4:30 on Linden Avenue, just outside of Terry’s Tavern.
Zanesville Police Sergeant Chris Phipps said the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Linden Avenue when the driver of a black car failed to yield and struck the motorcycle.
Phipps said the motorcycle was slowing down to cross the railroad tracks that run next to the tavern.
The motorcyclist was alert and talking with officers, but he was taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries.
Phipps said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. A portion of Linden Avenue was closed as officers conducted the investigation.
Phipps said the driver of the car will likely be cited with failure to yield.
