A new tool will guide tourists around venues in downtown Zanesville.

The Zanesville Downtown Association and the Muskingum County Community Foundation partnered to produce a tourism map, featuring local artists in the downtown area. Amy Kettner worked with members of the Artist Colony for a year to design it.

"Getting a look that they liked, getting a structure that they all could agree on, and then there were just simple changes like somebody moving their studio and things like that happened along our year progression to completion," said Kettner.

One of those moves includes studios now on the fifth floor of the Masonic Temple on 4th Street. The foundation’s executive director David Mitzel said the map will help bring tourism to those hidden gems.

"You have to know where you’re going to get there. So, I think this will be very helpful for people who are not aware of all of the venues that we have now," said Mitzel.

The maps will be available at all of the locations of associated with the Artist Colony of Zanesville.
