Area women golfers are helping send young women to college while enjoying food, friendship and fun.

The Zane State College Foundation presented the 4th Annual "Afternoon Tee" Golf Outing at Zanesville Country Club this afternoon.  All the proceeds provide scholarships for female students to attend Zane State.

A highlight of the event is former LPGA golfer Michele Redman.

"It just keeps getting better every year. We do an hour clinic, you don’t have to play in the event to come out and enjoy the hour clinic so you know if you didn’t make it this year we’ll probably do it again. You can come out and I’ll do a little instruction and I can help whoever shows up," said Redman.

Redman, currently The Women’s Golf Coach at The University Of Minnesota, is a native of Zanesville and returns every year to be a part of this fundraiser.

"I love coming home, it’s for a great cause and it’s nice to be able to touch base with everybody again," said Redman.

The charity event also features a nine hole, four person scramble, tee gifts and an after play celebration.
