If it had wheels it was welcome. Cars, trucks and bikes showed up to a Cruise-In at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Stovertown today.
The church held it’s 2nd Annual Triple Nickel Country Cruise-In. The free event offered music and baked goods for sale to benefit the church’s Youth Group. Steve Wolfe is St. John’s Youth Group Director and says the event has grown since it’s debut last year.
"There’s fifty plus and more coming in, we’re just very fortunate and very blessed. It’s just great to see a social event here at a country church and we’re glad for everybody that’s here," said Wolfe.
Wolfe has a lot of appreciation for the whole community of Stovertown who have helped make this year a success and many of the local businesses have been generous as well in sponsoring the event. He encourages more people to attend next year.
"We plan on doing it again next year and hope to get the whole community to come out next year and join in. We have good food, beautiful cars and just have a good time," said Wolfe.
Despite the heat, drivers came from all over the county to show off their cars raising money for a good cause in the process.
